Thematic Issue and Webinar on Excitonic Materials by IISER Pune Faculty Member

Dr. Shouvik Datta from the Physics department of IISER Pune, India, and Dr. Xavier Marie from INSA Toulouse, France, are Guest Editors of the September 2024 issue of MRS Bulletin published by Material Research Society, U.S.. The issue is focused on the theme of excitonic materials, which are bound electron-hole pairs and form the backbone of a large class of low-dimensional and quantum materials showing exotic physical and chemical properties. The issue includes articles on the fundamental understanding of the nature of these quasi-particles and their emerging applications in various fields.

An MRS Bulletin webinar on excitonic materials associated with the September 2024 issue of the MRS Bulletin is being organised by the Materials Research Society, U.S., on September 18, 2024. The webinar will be moderated by Dr. Shouvik Datta of IISER Pune and will include talks by select authors from the thematic issue. The event is open to all with a free registration.
